Performance comparison and analysis - Project planing - Script writing - Sound design Cinematography - Camera anatomy

A critical and creative insight into the film making and production process.

Through guided exploration students experience the film making process through from concept creation and story boarding to production and filming. Over a 5 - 8 week project students work closely with our team of expert professionals to bring their on-screen visions to life.

We cover every element of the film making process with a focus on technical production - our camera anatomy sessions allow students to break down and reassemble our extensive array of equipment and get hands on with leading industry technologies.

During rehearsal we take an in depth look at the differences between stage and screen acting as well as experimenting with varying styles and techniques that make screen a different experience to stage for the actors, the crew and the creatives!

By encouraging students to consider not only the performance element of film making we assist them in enhancing and developing project management skills including negotiation, problem solving, planning and preparation as well as creatively working together to formulate and deliver a measurable goal.

Within our film making courses students have the opportunity to work with high-end, industry standard equipment in the safety of the rehearsal studio environment. From filming in 4K to setting up a studio lighting fixture or even flying a drone we are passionate about giving students the reigns when it comes to their technical development with emerging techniques and accessible technologies.
