Song & Dance

An depth technical study of both singing and dance with a focus on

musical theatre performance.

Our Song & Dance module alternates weekly with a singing or dance focus. This gives students time to enjoy one of the most exposing subjects within academy. Working on a complimentary curriculum the two elements of the module work seamlessly and deliver achievable and successful goals for both students and spectators.

We know that everyone is different and we also know that dance and singing are quite exposing for young performers. We want our students to feel in control of their learning which is why we study the two musical theatre elements separately before bringing them together for performance.

With a strong technical foundation comes strong performance elements that we can direct, enhance and nurture.

Over the course of the academic year we focus our curriculum on a variety of evolving projects to help develop and enhance students skills.

From choir practice, musical direction and more theory based study to musical theatre performance and combined elements of academy. Through the Singing module we explore the capabilities of our voices along with crucial techniques to ensure safe and efficient vocal production.

Through our Dance module we explore all elements from basic technicalities and strengthening exercises to choreography and different styles and genres of dance performance.
