Phoenix Academy Principals
Here at The Phoenix Academy Shrewsbury we pride ourselves on our safe and inclusive environment for students, staff and parents/guardians.
Our core academy principals stand as being:
RESPECTFUL - SAFE - READY - GRATEFUL
These principals apply within our academy programmes as well as our schools & clubs programmes.
We firmly believe that we have a duty to our students to provide an environment that gives them the opportunity to express themselves within their individual freedoms whilst being respectful of others.
This does mean that on occasion conversations/topics arise that may cause triggering responses.
As staff we believe it is our duty as role models to set an example to others by being respectful and conscientious whilst setting firm boundaries. Listening and receiving information which can sometimes be triggering is part of our job. We then deal with information appropriately within our safeguarding policy guidelines.
Whilst at academy students have a right to confidentiality however should an occasion rise whereby we feel a parent/guardian should be informed we will do so as per our safeguarding procedures.
Uniform
Whilst uniform is not mandatory it is advisable that students wear suitable clothing to dance in. Shorts should be no more than two inches above the knee (No hot pants please) and crop tops are not permitted.
Fees & invoices
Fees & invoices are payable upon invoice given the chosen invoice timeframe.
Failure to pay fees on time will result in recovery action being taken.
Cancellation policy
The Phoenix Academy -
We appreciate it if students attend for a minimum of one term after sign up. This is due to the fact that our subject leaders require continuity of students for casting and project planning. With this in mind we require a paid four week notice period to ensure that fellow students and subject leaders can compensate should a student wish to leave mid term.
Phoenix Club & Schools Programme -
Schools and institutions are bound by our ‘Schools Policy Agreement’ which can be found on the booking form here:
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for sessions missed.
In unfortunate circumstances if a half termly or termly membership requires severance mid-term a refund appeal can be submitted and considered factoring in our four week notice period.
Refunds will not be considered after four weeks of none-attendance and no effort to communicate has been made.
